What this means

Official Army Chapter 10c PDF lists minimum GM 84; OPAT, training, clearance and other requirements remain separate.

The score listed above is the minimum line score threshold from the official Army MOS specification. Meeting this threshold does not guarantee enlistment — additional requirements such as OPAT physical testing, security clearance, medical screening, and training availability are evaluated separately by your recruiter. To see how GM 84 compares with the rest of the Army, read what counts as a good ASVAB score.

Which ASVAB subtests count toward 92M

92M is judged on one line score. The subtests listed below are the Army's nominal definition of each aptitude area from DA PAM 611-21, Military Occupational Classification and Structure, Table 10-1 (ASVAB aptitude area composites). The score actually printed on your report is computed on the 1997 scale as a weighted sum of seven standard scores (DMDC 2004, Table 2.7) and may give weight to subtests outside the nominal list; GT is the exception and equals AR + VE exactly. Use the line score on your report, or compute it from your standard scores.

If your score is below GM ≥ 84

Your ASVAB report lists every line score, so start by finding GM and noting the exact gap. A small gap in one composite is usually closed by improving the subtests that feed it, and each subtest counts toward several line scores at once.

Frequently asked questions

What ASVAB score do I need for 92M Mortuary Affairs Specialist?

The verified score threshold recorded for this MOS is GM ≥ 84. Other requirements such as OPAT, clearance, and training are separate.

Which ASVAB subtests count toward the GM score for 92M?

GM (General Maintenance) is nominally GS + AS + MK + EI. The reported score is a weighted sum of seven standard scores on the 1997 scale, so subtests outside that list can also count.
